Sarah Gustner-Hewitt

OPERATIONS MANAGER

As Operations Manager, Sarah is a master juggler, cat herder and project wrangler. She presides over scheduling, quality control, engineering and production. Despite the high volume of work at Atlas Technologies, Sarah keeps it all running smoothly. Since joining the company in 2021, Sarah has improved delivery times, increased staffing and expertise, and put multiple successful new processes in place. Sarah has worked in manufacturing for 15 years. She came from the food industry working for Mt. Townsend Creamery. Outside of Atlas, Sarah is the proud mom of two adventurous little boys and sings with the Wild Rose Chorale

Stephen Morton

GENERAL MANAGER

Stephen started his career as a merchant marine engineer, discovered a love of engineering, and earned his BSME degree. Over the years, he employed his extensive Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing expertise, working on process improvement and development projects in many industries. He is experienced in all phases of the product lifecycle from R&D to launch. Stephen’s transition into leadership started with attending the Carnegie Institute, and since then he has spent years helping various companies become world-class operations. Stephen enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and spending time with his wife and kids on their Whidbey Island family farm.

Jed Bothell

President and Owner

Jed is our president, owner, and director of R&D. He is intensively involved in research and product development in UHV and advanced materials. He is the co-inventor of the bimetallic flange used on numerous synchrotrons and in semiconductor manufacturing, and is leading the development of a novel nano-particle coating technology capable of coating a wide variety of metals. He holds several patents in UHV technology. Additionally, Jed has headed many complex and large-scale projects at Atlas Technologies including the completion of BICEP ll as well as a 40′ long fully automated steel and aluminum hypobaric warehouse system. Jed is the active father of three, growing young men and spends his free time with them boating, skiing, and tinkering.

Jimmy Stewart

TECHNICAL SALES

Jimmy is the lead salesperson at Atlas. He comes from a background in the medical device world, where he was involved with both the design and testing of spinal fusion and disc nucleus replacement devices. Immediately prior to joining the Atlas team in 2018, he spent two years in Silicon Valley starting up and managing a small medical device manufacturing operation. Outside of his role with Atlas, he’s a volunteer firefighter/EMT with his local fire department and the training officer of his local search and rescue team.
